The super-host badge is well earned. We had a great time interacting with Rosie and Bruno. Both were very responsive and super friendly. The property is beautiful. The amount of wildlife you can see right off the balcony or walking the property was amazing. I didn't know anteaters could climb trees until I watched one from the balcony. The property is close enough to everything we wanted to do but not so close that you feel you are in the middle of another city. Absolutely fabulous experience.
Our family of 5 loved our stay at Villa Los Laureles. We were greeted by a group of Capuchin monkeys swinging through the trees as we pulled up the driveway, followed by scarlet macaws soaring by the balcony right after we got inside. The views, wildlife, pool, and architecture all combined for an unforgettable stay. Rosie was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the caretaker was friendly and attentive. Our kids greatly enjoyed their surfing lessons arranged by Bruno. The villa is close enough to Manuel Antonio for an easy day trip, yet far enough away that you feel a world apart. This is a spectacular place with an exceptional host.
Amazing place to stay — the way the ecosystem has been so carefully maintained means there's a massive abundance of birds and wildlife to watch and be mesmerised by. Being equidistant between Manuel Antonio and Carara National Parks you really do get the best of everything by staying here: beautiful location and beaches, diverse wildlife, stunning accommodation and the best hosts I've experienced in my 10 years on Airbnb.

Rosie and Bruno have called Playa Bejuco home for over twenty years. As property managers and development partners, they oversee Villa Los Laureles — nine private villas on 40 acres of tropical forest, each one a reflection of a shared passion for architecture, nature and design.
The property takes its name from the ancient Ficus tree — known locally as Laurel de la India — whose canopy forms the magical tunnel that welcomes every guest.
With a deep love for animals, exotic fruits and agroforestry, they have cultivated both the land and a community that shares a love of nature and the Pura Vida lifestyle. Parcels are still available for those dreaming of building their own piece of paradise here.
